Vegan Fries Around Town

Snack Attacks

If you're like me then you're probably hankering for some fries right about now. One of my favorite benefits of being vegan is that I can eat pretty much anything fried with little-to-no guilt... but where does one satisfy a fry craving without accidental animal consumption?

Lots of folks have their favorite places for fries, and I am sad to say that many places put a lot more than potatoes into the fries.

McDonalds has got to be the worst offender in this. They put "beef flavoring" into their oil, so pretty much anything fried at McDonalds contains animals in some form. Most curly fries have some form of dairy in them as well, so that stinks.

Onion rings usually have egg in them, and many places like Hardees and Arby's fry vegetables and animals in the same oil... which is nasty.

So where can one go for animal-free fries? Ironically enough, dairy queen is great, and Wendy's says they only fry potatoes in animal-tainted oil when they're being slammed.

Wendy's is actually okay for vegan eating, especially if you plan ahead. I like to bring Earth Balance and Better Than Sour Cream with me so I can have a baked potato and salad, but fries are good if you've got a craving.

Other good places are most bars, Buffalo Wild Wings, Mary Ann's, and JT Walker's.

If you have any other favorite spots for fries, let me know via the Contact Us.
